I love the way she screams "no, no!" because sometimes people are like "well did you tell him no properly? And here she legit screams it

That final "mwah is perfect. Instead of a satisfied sigh, it's a whimper of anguish.

When I saw the show, the bit at the end where she's almost screaming and they're all groping her, I was so disturbed. It was just so compelling.

So I went to high school with Sam. She was my Velma Kelly in Chicago. It's insane to hear how much she's grown in the last ten years. I'm so happy for her success and I hope she keeps climbing!

This got more views than the other songs/videos for a reason. The queens are obviously equally talented, but there’s something about Sam that truly draws you in to her emotion and vocal ability.

I've never seen anyone highlight this particular line:
"Francis Dereham
Serious, stern and slow
Gets what he wants, and he won't take no."

This part: "Gets what he wants, and he won't take no." Absolute highlight for 'you might as well say yes, because I'm going to do it anyway'.

I like how they changed "Mates" to "Friends", it really fits her accent and especially fits her being more of a child in my opinion

This was my childhood. It was a whole lot of child abuse and it ruined me. This song is painfully, horrifically accurate to what happens when you're abused like thing at a young age. RIP Katherine Howard. You didn't deserve what you got.

It’s a horrifying coincidence that the 2 men who started and ended her life of abuse were both named Henry with her music teacher HENRY Mannox And in the end it was HENRY the 8th that ultimately sent her upon the block on February 13th 1542 to be Beheaded that’s a sad coincidence

Fun fact: in the last two choruses of the song, you can hear sirins as Kathrine H starts noticing red flags.

I saw a sheet music arrangement based on this cover, and it used a phrase I have never seen in music before whenever she said "He says we have a connection", that being "Con crescente preoccupazione" which literally means "With growing concern"

As well as in the final chorus using the phrase "piangendo disperatamente" which means "Desperate crying"

i saw her on broadway last night, and i was close to tears during this song, the emotion was heart-wrenching. that has never happened before with this song, but samantha pauly's acting was INCREDIBLE. favorite song of the show.

I’ve been gr00med several times now, the last verse of the song hit so hard harder then I expected it too. the first time I heard it I had to hold in my tears since her voice was showing all the pain I felt when I realized what the all did to me. Im turning 13 on March 10th. I relate to Howard a lot.

I remember listening to the studio recording and thought "wait these lyrics are kinda um, yeah" but hearing Samantha scream "when will enough BE ENOUGH" I felt that, being used for your looks genuinely hurts, you don't know if they feel anything else for you

Interesting tidbit: At 4:54 Sam starts to sing off key a bit, which seems to signify the cracks in Katherine's way of thinking before she finally understands what all these men are doing to her. That and the siren synths in the background.

I heard her sing this then I listened to her song a day and watched her livestreams during quarantine. I feel in love her voice and personality. As a survivor thank you so so much Sam! 😭💗
