The sad thing is because of her age and everything she never knew this was wrong, she thought this is what her purpose was she thought it was normal, it hurt so much to go through this again I've and over but she thought that was life, her body didn't belong to her and I love how you represent that

So, not to get like depressing, but I will say that the depiction of the hands all over her body was a great symbolism and honestly, as a rape survivor, that's honestly how it feels, like brands on your skin. It hit be right in the feels. This whole thing is so amazing, one of the best animatics for this song that I've seen.

This could be incorrect, but I heard somewhere that while Henry hired a professional swordsman to execute Anne Boleyn to make it quick and painless, he hired a not so professional man to behead Katherine Howard, and it ended up going in her back first and took about an hour to get out and do it again. That is so disgusting.

She is one of my favorites of the six queens. I can relate to her story (not pedophilia, but sexual and emotional abuse). Her story is so tragic, a young girl being taken advantage of by older men, basically pedophilic assholes, and then she is punished for the torture she goes through. The saddest part is that her story is still so relevant today. Girls and women (and even men) are abused for years and then no one believes their story. People blame the victims for what they go through and let the abuser walk free.
What makes it worse is that this has been turned into a trend on Tik Tok, acting as if Henry is an “upgrade”. It’s like a slap in the face to anyone who’s been in Katheryn’s place and to historians.

As well as sexual abuse, Katherine also lived in poverty as child, her step grandma also knew all about the abuse she was going through and did nothing to stop it, she actually beat Katherine for it in the end

This song always kills me when I see a new animatic for it, because everyone has a different interpretation of what happened, but the base of all of them is the same. A child who never had a chance to grow up is trapped, unable to find a fine line between companionship and romanticism.

the ending of this was especially beautiful. seeing her lead to her execution and then flashes of her in the different times of her life where she was abused, and then finally the blade hitting her neck. it really made me feel for her, and i replayed that part a few times for it to sink in. she had such a horrible life, and it’s really upsetting to think about. but this is a masterpiece, and i’m glad i stumbled across it
