Had to look up her history. Truly a victim of abuse. When you realize how young she was and how these men used her it makes the song less Britney Spears and more tragic.

This song is easily the most relatable for most women. When you're young, naive, neglected, and emotionally starved, it's easy to mistake sexualization for desire and connection. Especially when the latters is all you've ever wanted. You relish in all of these men "wanting" you. But eventually you grow up and realize that being valued for nothing more than your body is exhausting and dehumanizing.

I had listen to this song several times but this is the first time I see her singing it... it really take the meaning of the song to other level. Honestly made me cry

Damn she really brought the end. Kitty Howard was used her whole live and I think just wanted a genuine connection. The end really showed her frustrations and hurt. Gave me chills. She's a amazing singer.

I think that a really great detail in this is the slight wording changes in the chorus. It goes from " please me, squeeze me, birds and the bees me" which is in the first two chorus to, " seize me, squeeze me, birds and the bees me" during the chorus with Henry as the guy in question and it's a round about was of saying, she's aware of how she's effectively being taken against her will, and then the last chorus repeat having, " squeeze me, don't care if you don't please me" was heartbreaking sad.

And the way her body language and reaction to touch from the other queens gets stiffer as if she's increasing more aware of how much she's being touched is a great musical touch.

I listened to the Cast Recording and while I got the gist of the song it didn’t really hit home until I saw the live performance. It changed my whole perspective and I now feel like it’s one of the more tragic songs in the musical. Kudos to Samantha Pauly for her voice and acting abilities. She relayed so much angst in her facial expressions alone. ❤️

I was able to see this show live in Chicago before it went to NYC and the night I went after she was done with the song it was silent in the theater. No clapping or anything, everyone was just so moved by her performance it felt wrong to break the silence. I love the song on the album but seeing it live is just so sad.

Breaks my heart how Catherine Howard from childhood was used, abused, and destroyed by men. She always wins for me who of Henry VIII's wives suffered the most, though they all suffered (Anne--I'm the queen of the castle--of Cleves maybe not so much)

Late to the party but something that really strikes me about this performance is how little support she gets from the backing vocals. Compare it to say Get down or No way and you see its a completely different vibe. I think the idea is to show just how alone K Howard was pretty much her entire life.
