Sad the video cuts early– when I saw it, she just stayed on stage crying as the applause cut off. It was so painful and so accurate to the way even her pain is turned into a performance and never taken seriously.

People don’t talk about this enough, but if you pay attention to the choreography, you’ll notice that the queens (being the backup dancers/singers) keep touching her despite her continuously pushing them away. This represents the harassment she went through, how multiple men kept coming onto her, ignoring her not giving consent (or not being old enough to do so). The choreography for this show is so genius I love it so much.

The worst part is that she doesn’t really want a good romantic relationship, she just wants a friend. Even though she’s making jokes all through the show, she never wanted a relationship.

I remember seeing this in December, obviously not the same actress but very much the same level of emotion. After her song everyone in the audience kinda sat there in silence as she cried. Like everyone was like “damn, do we clap at that?” But as soon as she goes “and then I was beheaded” did everyone go “oh, okay, yeah we can clap”

This is seriously the most heartbreaking of all the songs in Six. That poor girl never had anyone looking out for her. It makes me sick how she was groomed and abused. I cry every damn time at the end. Hats off to the magnificent performer--bravo 👏🏽

Small detail but i also love that at the end where there are the most hands on her, when she’s finished singing and she’s standing all of them walk away emotionless like they’re done using her and she’s useless to them now

i would give anything to experience seeing west end Six live again not knowing that the final verse is so gut wrenching and raw in this version. the way my jaw dropped to the floor and i legitimately started tearing up

Every time I get cat called while walking by myself on the street I feel like that final verse when all the hands are on her and she realises she's only her body and sexual object to men and that's all she ever was and ever will be

They did an awesome job putting that feeling into the performance

The first time I heard this version of Catherine Howard I was shook, horrified and key traumatized.

The fact that she BROUGHT IT night after night to honor young girls and women victims of ...well basically being pimped out..she has my undying support and I wish nothing but the best for her, forever more
