3 Tips to Prune Basil to Increase Production

Maximize production from basil plants to increase production with these 3 simple tips. If you Prune Basil plant, you can make basil a much bushier plant to produce a lot of Basil. The three tips to prune basil include: Start pruning basil when basil plant is about 6 inches tall and has atleast two to three sets of leaves. Cut each stem to the last set of leaves. If the basil plant bolts producing flowers and seeds, pinch off the crown of basil. This process will produce a bushier plant with lots of basil.
