With having more than one plant growing in one pot, at what point are you separating them into individual plants?

I started my basil from seeds back May, I believe... Can I start to prune it? It's not very tall but they do have 3 sets of true leaves. I haven't noticed any nodes. Can I only prune it when there's nodes. I'm a beginner and I'm not confident that I know what I'm doing. Looking for help. Thank you and God bless.

Thank you for the video! The tip for identifying the first set of true leaves is helpful. Question - when you said the best way is to keep on pruning off the node instead of plucking the big leaves, when is a good time to pluck the big leaves then? For example, the ones right off the growth point at 2:38 in the video. I notice from my garden that over time, they just get shaded and wilt if unplucked. And for a taller stem with more than one node, is it better to prune from a higher or lower node?

I started growing my basil from seeds for the first time and your videos are so informative on it. I just needed to know how to prune it to keep it bushy and thanks for your tip. I plant about 18 to 20 seeds and its all starting to grow their true leaves like u said😍..its so exciting cus im actually doin somethin right. But i think im gonna place it all in one huge container pot and hopefully doesnt die😬...im mixing old soil and new soil together but should i add perlite into the soil? Or will that overwhelm it and kill it? My other question is do u think its better to keep it inside the house or bring outside? Cus i hate the ants and bugs, they like to invade my plants🙄 so its a problem

My Emily Basil is TWO months old and still only has one set of tiny true leaves. what is it missing? I water when soil dries, give it warmth, and they are under grow lights for 16hrs. HELP!!
