Not all of them come out so easy as that. I just spent hours getting mine out that was leaking and stuck like nobody’s business.

The view of your hairy hand covering the entire view in the most important parts of the video is epic

My cartridge broke in half due to sediment drop but I’m digging it out piece by piece, I put clr on in and letting it sit overnight, hopefully I won’t have to replace the cartridge housing as well…I even used an extractor but it was brittle plastic, can’t find a full brass replacement…oh well, the joys of home ownership, good video though!

I replaced my cartridge last night but the showerhead is still leaking. I'm not sure what the problem could be. 🤔

I just replaced mine and it’s making a noise when I open it half way. Defective or did I do/put it in wrong?

I have 2 handles probably 20 years old Moen Brass and silver . Water has been cold and the hot handle spins … I’ve replaced cartridges before but many years ago.. don’t know which ones

I would've done the pull incorrectly not for this video. Thanks!

Camera view was not ideal in some key shots, but adding the various notes via on-screen graphics made up for what would have otherwise been not 100% clear. :-)

Unless you’re cartridge is brand new it will not be this easy! Spent days

Every person that shows a 1222 always edits the part where they put the cartridge back in.
It always gets stuck at the O ring and not one video keeps that in. Hmm

Hi and happy holidays to everyone, I have a Moen 1222 shower valve leaking and I replaced a brand new Moen Ginuine OEM cartridge from Lowe’s store and it still leak quite a bit. Then tried replacing a 2nd new in box cartridge and this 2nd NEW IN BOX cartridge 1222 still leak quite a bit and I called Moen and technical department technician explained to me that maybe because (a retail or box stores) Lowe’s and Home Depot have maybe a month or two months shipping from factory; the 2 rubber sides might dry out even with included silicone grease pack (?). Then after hanging up with them Moen, I went back to Lowe’s and bought the Danco third-party part cartridge 1222 and installed it. It leaks but a lot less so I don’t know what else you might recommend. the body to cavity the body in the wall maybe need replacement but this is a lot of work. I mean tearing a nice square hole to access tge body to replace in the wall hopefully not ….

Hopefully someone might have suggestions, please let me know if they have maybe a thicker rubber 2 sides repair of this plastic 1222 valves that might help stop leaking before tearing out wall and replacing with new body of new assembly which Moen might send as FREE replacement. December 4th, 2004 Seattle (Renton WÁ). Thank you and be safe everyone 😉🤓🥹🥺😀
