Thanks for putting this up! You are the only channel dealing with a Moen 1225 that has pointed out which way the cartridge goes in to get the hot and cold flow correct. So far no other channel has addressed that so I thank you. I put mine in backwards but your info allowed me to correct my mistake without total disassembly or even having to turn the water line off.

Excellent video instructions. My mechanism was frozen tight- couldn't pull out the knob to turn on the water. I used your video to do the replacement. All went smooth and took about 20 minutes. Now our guests can use the guest bathroom to shower. Thanks

Thanks for the tutorial. I had my hot and cold reversed, but somewhere I read that you just rotate the stem 180 degrees before putting on the knob. That worked.

Thank you! I did use the puller and I put it in with the hole up but I turned just the knob 180 degrees and it’s just fine. The beauty ring is the stop on mine.

Thank you, sir! Most of the other tutorials only showed how to remove the cartridge with a puller... I REALLY didn't want to spend the extra money on something I'd only use once a decade! Thanks, this came through in a pinch while fixing my mother in laws shower. I couldn’t figure out how to get the old one out. I gave it alittle twist on the body with some needle nose pliers and then it slid right out.

Your vid helped my confidence. Only issue I have is I don’t get hot water now with the cartridge install. I do have a screw (not shown in your vid)that controls hot water, perhaps I installed it incorrectly?
