It saves a lot of money and trash from going into landfill because it can last up to 10 years. You can go swimming with it and it won’t leak. It holds more blood than any tampon or pad.

The cons are it takes some patience to learn how to insert and remove a menstrual cup. It took me 2 cycles to figure it out. I have videos on my zero waste period playlist showing you how to do that. If you don’t have the right fit it could be uncomfortable. I was very lucky that the 1st one I got fit me perfectly.

For ppl with an iud: please don't use a menstrual cup as it can tug at the iud causing it to to dislodge. Try a menstrual disc instead! Those don't create a vaccuum on your cervix :)

Just discovered it 4 weeks ago ( I am disappointed to myself not knowing about this)

I watch a lot of video then bought mine online.

And now I am waiting for my first period since when I discover it, I am having my period and I am using pads. Maybe it is a sign or something.


I hate using pads because it is very itchy and uncomfortable. I even change every two hours.
