Very interesting about the saturated fat. I’ve been trying to figure out how Dr. McDougall’s starch based diet reverses diabetes. He says fat paralyzes insulin. All the other parts to this are really critical too. And don’t underestimate the damage chronic high cortisol and corticosteroids do! Thanks for this info!

Seven hour sleep sessions seems to be what I'm averaging right now. No naps. Way better than it was years back with 2-3 a night.

It’s true. I was a mens physique athlete but once I stopped moving more than just the gym, I put weight on and now I’m gonna test moving more to see if can stop the extra lbs

Attempt №2: Thomas, it is time you put together a fresh video with updated science on keto 101 and how you prefer to cycle into other diets after couple of month. Some people, like me, arrive at your 46 min video from 3 years ago (how to do a keto diet: complete guide) and start there. Later they learn it’s outdated and now there’s completely new science on proteins, carbs, fasting etc. Please do us a favor and make fresh guide! 🙏🏼

It's crucial to put these studies about dietary fat intake linked to metabollic health, in the context of whether how much the participants were consuming carbs. It's common knowledge (at least it should be) that combining carbs and fats is detrimental to insulin sensitivity and diabetic health.

I eat butter on sweet potatoes and use it when making rice (low GI rice), plus I will sometimes add cheese and greek yogurt. Then again I lift 3x a week and have a job where I'm active on my feet, so I think I am ok.

WOW! You have no idea how much you just helped me.
I’m an active 63 years & feel great (though I know I could always improve.
I go to gym 4 days a week & workout with weights.
I have been so Focused on meeting my Protein requirements, that I increased my cheese intake (because it has protein)… I thought since it’s ‘organic’ cheese, that it’s safe; YET totally overlooking the ‘saturated fat’.
With this one tweak of cutting back on cheese…. I know this will help me with reducing tummy fat.
Here’s a Million Thank You’s 🤗🤗🤗🤗🤗🤗🤗🤗🤗🤗🤗🤗🤗🤗🥳

(When you used Marbleized Steak as an example…. I totally visualized that’s the problem in my arms. 👍💪)

Gives me much to think about. I exercise 4-5 days a week and have lost weight everywhere except my gut.

I eat about 15 grams of organic grass fed ghee every day and love it because it is incredibly good for me. Bulletproof coffee or a regular coffee with a little bit of ghee do me so much better than coffee without fat. Now I'm worried that this is too much. :(

Sleep is a hard one for me, I have to force sleep and keep laying back down just hoping I go back to sleep, sometimes I can. Not worried about activity. My job keeps me moving 12 hours at a time. Even at home I am moving around every 15 minutes just cause my body makes me lol Man, don't take the cheese!

Is there any studies showing people who have later wake and sleep schedules, but are consistent with them, showing that those people function the same as someone who had an earlier schedule? Cuz I believe that as long as you set your circadian rhythms to your liking, still getting sun exposure when u first wake up and all that, your body will adapt and work the same even if you go to bed later than someone else, but your circadian rhythms are still set in place optimally

Son of a The sedentary part is really gonna get me. I hate that public schools make us immobile for 5+ hours a day!

I’ve had miraculous results from 20/4 except I can’t sleep. I’ve never had this much trouble sleeping. It doesn’t matter whether it’s a high fat or higher carb day-I just feel wired all night long.

I’m confused 😂 i understand too much of anything could be bad (saturated fat). However, I keep hearing that polyunsaturated fats are BAD… why we shouldn’t eat Canola, Safflower, Sunflower etc.. and we switched to Coconut oil.. 🤷🏻‍♀️
I’m on keto currently .. are you talking about those that still eat alot of carbs? Or is this for those of us on clean keto as well? I don’t want wagu biceps 😭Thanks for the info always!!🤓
