An easy way to restore insulin sensitivity is to give your stomach a break from eating every now and again. 👍

This explains why I feel sleepy, yawn a lot, eyes watering, when I cycle to social groups to meet friends, often coming on about an hour after a light snack and 2 miles electric bike ride. I always feel exhausted tired and it's becoming harder to get on, especially in traffic with hill starts. I'm regaining slowly lost weight again. Back to IF and Keto rating now Spring is on the way.

Is it possible you could do a video on vitamin K2 (MK-4 and MK-7). Thanks for the vids.

I hope you’ll do a new video about the latest study that came out about Erythritol causing high risk for blood clots and heart attacks.

i think it is about the amount of healthy L-cells that results in different levels of GLP-1

Hi Thomas, thank you for sharing your knowledge in simple ways. Will taking turmeric with black pepper reduce inflammation? Can that be taken during a prolonged fast? I started IF 6 weeks ago, as well as eliminating all processed foods, eating fresh and organic low carb(20-30g) mod protein (50-60g) and high fat(90-110g). I usually fast 20:4, 23:1 as well as a 36-48 hour fast once a week. I have PCOS, insulin resistance and Hashimoto’s.

Hey Thomas, 1 question. If I am in a significant caloric deficit (500-700 calories a day), but stressed out during the day due to my mental health issues, does high level of cortisol impede lipolysis?

Another great video with more evidence of all the subtleties and nuance inside our bodies. With all this data out there and with all the understanding about how complex the human system (body and brain) is... it's hard for me to believe there are still so many influencers passing along the myth of "calories in calories out is all you need to think about"...

Meanwhile, the people in a calorie deficit with vitamin D and calcium

Subclinical magnesium deficiency also creates insulin resistance systemically. If even the pancreatic beta cells become deficient hyperinsulinemia ensues. 10yrs of research on this. Lack of magnesium also increases inflammation.

Hello, I have the symptoms of brain insulin resistance, but I am very lean also, at the lower end of the norm actually, with almost no visceral/subcuteneous fat. I am so frustrated that most of the solutions involve cutting down the food more, because I am already lean... Is there a version of intermittent fasting for people with low appetite who don't naturally eat a lot of food?

Concern that I don’t over eat but rather the opposite. I am overweight and struggling to lose weight and adjusting my lifestyle for CKD. Love IF 8/16 and initially lost 20 lbs. I have been unable to lose any more weight and need to for health reasons. Have been following your YouTube postings and need a direction for additional written information, i.e. books, etc.

Very interesting. Some vinegar can help with insulin resistance by putting the cells it gets into into fat burning mode, especially in the gut!

Hi Sir, Thank you for sharing topic and i think this will help me understand about insulin resistance. Can you please make a topic about Removed Gal Bladder, on to be healthy again, what to eat & not to eat. Thank you in advance.

Does intermittent fasting not affect your hormones - i.e. its difficult to keep it balanced when in calorie deficient?

If cells/tissues are insulin resistant, why are fat cells responding to insulin and not breaking down the fat? Do they have insulin independent glucose transporters and are taking in glucose and synthesizing fat? Sorry, a little confused on this aspect of IR.
