Either via cunning deception thinking we'd be too stupid to recognise they were treating us like a mindless buffoon or someone talking down to us as though we are a child, too obtuse to hold intelligent conversation..

Those of true intelligence will share their intelligence without leaving us questioning our own..

I definitely agree with there's always going to be someone better/smarter than you in that area. We're all different and have different strengths and weaknesses. We shouldn't bring someone else down because they don't know about one of your strengths. Might as well just try to help them out, instead of belittling them.

I watched this around 4 months after you released it, but is timely for me. Coming into the new year, I am at a place if others undermine me or do not validate me, that it does not have to define me anymore. I used to ruminate and dwell so much on whether others perceived me negatively. I will not tolerate bad behaviour anymore when it does actually occur and I have not misinterpreted it. My self worth is above all that even when their observation is a true reflection of something I need to work on. None of us are flawless and owning my imperfections rather than trying to cover them up is freeing. Thank you for what you bring. I love your work. 💜

Loved it 🤪 my new boss talks to me like I’m a complete idiot. And right before I listened to this I wanted to address her…. But now… I’m going to let her show the world who she thinks she is. ♥️

My boss apparently thinks I'm an idiot. She was upset I had signed up for a one-person coffe service. I'll admit, I am much better with a helping hand and guide, but come on, that's no excuse for being insensitive. One of our student leader's responsibilities is organizing who works which shifts on the schedule, and my boss scolded him for not noticing I had signed up for a one-person shift. When she asked him if she thought I could do the shift, I answered for him with a firm "yes, " because I felt belittled by her. She said she didn't think so, was all "I've told you not to sign up for shifts by yourself, I've been very clear about that, I don't know how much clearer I can get for you to listen" (something like, that, so I'm not perfectly quoting her), and she told me I need someone there to give me instructions and guide me. So basically she was lecturing me for taking on a task she thinks I'm too helpless to do, while not realizing how hurt I would feel. What's funny is I have a coworker who started working the job about a year ago, and she's allowed to work coffe services alone. That REALLY hurts.

I am not an idiot🤪. So many people surely think everyone around them is dumb and that they are the smarter in the world but like my grandma used to say "empty barrels make a lot of noise" lol

When someone belittle me with insults I don't have anymore use for them, when I see them they try to speak to me and I just look at them and I say to myself why are you speaking to me, don't they realize they insulted me, do they forget they insulted me or should I tell them to never speak to me again. Would love your opinion.
