As a first time snowboarder as of Friday, toe side was easy, but heel side I was constantly catching an edge and crashing. Next go round I will try to learn heel side.

Great video I hope it will help with getting back on the snowboard after a long break.
What really helped me as a beginner (I still am a beginner) to not fall down is to always look in the direction i m heading never down on my feet.

I am sure you mention this in other videos, but not in this one so I felt the need to comment as it is really important.
This allowed me to visualize the turn better since it will take some space to execute it and looking down made me do rushed movements that lead to repeated falls.
