To address the comments about “morality.” This is my stance:
Jesus fed fish to thousands. But I also believe the word of the Lord in that it is not what comes into the mouth that is impure, but that which comes out from it. (As in our words, hatred, resentment, envy, etc.)
It would be of no use to me to save the animals, but hate mankind. If that means plant-based, then yes. I ate a plant based diet.

Also, I was raised by farmers who lived off the land and their animals, so there’s that. 🤷‍♀️

I relate to this SO HARD. Instead of anorexia, I was leaning toward binge eating because I would cut things out and then would give in and eat SO MUCH. I need to stay away from dairy because it makes me sick and soy makes me sick. As a vegan cutting out soy made it so hard to figure out what to eat. I also learned that animal protein is different from plant protein, they do different things. Animal protein creates amino acids that help brain functioning for mental health. I think Im going to eat meat and eggs again. My mental health is too important.

This is a very important message to get across especially to those who are looking for a magic solution to weight loss, environmental issues, or are interested in finding a proper form of nutrition. I don't believe there is a one size fits all diet/lifestyle solution. I'm vegan but my father was a meat and potatoes guy and he lived to 94 with no major health issues throughout his life. I feel better on a vegan diet (for now), but if that changes, I will introduce whatever I need to keep healthy. That's the key. Be responsible and respect the environment while following a diet that suites you.

I remember just a few years back when the d0ctors were recommending red meat to my sister and mother for their anaemia, well they didn't buy into it as they seemed to believe all their problems were genetic. They went on the iron tablets and it was apparently horrible, constipation and tar yeah. Anyways they went on the red meat and have felt great ever since!

It definitely isn't genetics, many 50+ year olds don't look as healthy as my grandparents did at 90. They raised and sIaughtered everything, they had quite a bit of money compared to the street she was on and she'd make a local dish(created during the war thanks to rationing)which was basically brain, liver, heart, muscle meat and stomach lining. In the 80s, the kids would go crazy when she made them! More than any sweets you could buy! A kid today wouldn't even touch anything like that!!!!

Sad!

I also have hashimoto hypothyroidism and I have been alkaline vegan and then I have tried aip paleo and I totally get you...I was lost, stressed out about it and didnt know what to do, what to eat...and then I realised the same thing as you... I just need to listen to myself..I also think that balanced diet is the best advice :) intuitive eating, listening to your body but in the same time trying to eat healthy and balanced

New subscriber. Love your short clearly-expressed vids!!
My son had what your daughter does as a baby/young toddler. I went through many diets and supplements and homeopathic treatments with him and he’s thriving now! We HS too. He’s almost 16 and pretty much teaches himself. I’m so grateful to The Most High. He has brought him SO far! People don’t know he ever had vackseen-injury! 😌 (that was the cause of his autism)
I say this to give you hope for your daughter 🌺

Meat is tradition in all cultures and nations but so are veggies. Just stay away from processed foods, balance is the key.

Thank you for sharing! Your delivery was eloquent, balanced, and adorable. I really echo your sentiments and mirror a lot of your experience. I went vegan because of a documentary when I was 16 after experiencing health issues from eating a standard american hyper-processed diet and it really helped me. I too felt like it was important and had a changed perspective on food and food production. I was vegan for over 5 years and then started eating honey and the occasional egg. For the past 6 months my body has been begging me to expand my diet to include animal products, and I have done a lot of research on how organic, pasture-raised animal products from local farms not only support economies, but also have higher levels of nutrition than conventional animal products. I have realized that the black and white thinking that I held as a vegan really does not fit the nature of my reality. I live in the north and we don't have the ability to grow fresh produce year around, so my body is wanting local animal foods for the winter. I have come to respect farmers and hunters more than ever and am trying not to feel the guilt and shame that seems innevitable with a diet change. Many people in my life are vegan or plant based, and it really stressed me out at first to make such big changes when I know what they feel about animal foods for themselves. Before I started incorporating plant foods I was deteriorating mentally and physically to the point where I thought I was dying and had mental health crises. So my real desire is to eat to nourish my body, to support food production practices that bring as much health to the community and the soils as they do to me. ♥ I needed to hear all of this. Thank you Yesi! PS- the first time I "broke" my veganism was for an egg breakfast taco that my mexican friend made me with her backyard eggs. It felt so good and I knew that it was time to bring more balance to my life.

Without nightshade how do you survive mexican food? I am generally interested as I cant eat nightshades as well due to high lectins.

I've been kind of working my way into a mostly plant-based diet. I take an omega 3 fish pill every day. Have a little cheese on my bean burrito. I plan to have some chocolate once I get my weight down to BMI normal. A mostly plant-based eating regimen has definitely helped me with weight control. I'm sure I'll still be modifying it. If I have dreams about food, I go and eat it. I was on keto and dreamed about bread and beans, so I quit it and ate them.

Just want to put this out there, the honey bees that we keep are actually having a negative effect on the biodiversity of the natural, wild pollinators. Once honey hives are introduced to an area they start to take over and natural pollinators either move out or die off. So the popularity of bee keeping, while beneficial for honey production, is actually having an negative impact on the environment. With that said, it’s always better to support local farmers. I just stopped my vegan journey of almost 5 years. I went in for ethical reasons and stopped for health reasons. It was a very emotional decision… I so desperately wanted to stay vegan but my body was telling me it needed more than the plants I was feeding it. So after 5 months of deliberation, I started eating animals. I’m about a month off a vegan diet and I have more energy than I’ve had in years. My digestion has improved, my mood has improved, mentally I feel better, I’m not bloated, I’ve lost weight so…. I did it all right… I ate a wfpb diet 90% of the time, took the supplements, ate a variety of foods…but… i still live my life vegan in all other areas of my life, but sadly my diet is not. I’m learning to be ok with that. I eat tons of plants, with animal products…I’m doing the best I can.

Because humans are NOT herbivore. Cholesterol isn't also a problem, it's the sugar, carbs, and toxic seed oil that damage the health.High cholesterol is perfectly fine, as long as you keep the sugar away from the cholesterol.
