I love intermittent fasting and have been eating mostly OMAD since June 2020. Even though OMAD is my standard, I love being flexible in my schedule and will at times have variations to keep things interesting. I have lost weight, got into a healthy weight range for my height and maintained the weight loss for over 3 years! I love to share the flexibility and peace offered through intermittent fasting.

I've lost 15 pounds in a month, intermittent fasting and light exercise. This is my new lifestyle and never looking back.

When I lose the rest of my excess weight, I will continue to fast. I just feel better! 29 pounds down, 15-20 to go!

Another tip for beginners! I journaled like Jackie says, other things besides doing weekly averages of weight, like joint pain, energy levels, skin issues, brain fog, I even wrote down whether I felt hunger pains and how long it lasted, I noted my mood and if I enjoyed certain foods more or less, how much I ate, anything! It helped me notice the changes and look at my overall well-being instead of numbers of weight!

During fasting to motivate myself while declutterring my house I would listen to Jason Fung’s channel, Jackie’s channel, podcasts with Gin Stephen as a guest, Six Miles to Supper. There are so many wonderful YouTube videos out there that share stories and the science behind it and listening to that really helped keep me going.

I made a spreadsheet of daily fasting and eating windows, with daily weights to track what had the best results and to make sure I varied my fasts like Dr. Mindy Pelz and Gin Stephens recommended.

When I was learning to clean fast (failed at intermittent fasting for years before by having coffee with creamer 😅) I distracted myself and made the time fly by diving into homeschooling more and then getting right to house chores. Decluttering happened big time winter of 2022!! I felt so good in my home and body fasting and purging. Life has been simpler and calmer. I continue to do decluttering during fasting windows it’s just not as constant as when I began.

Staying busy helps so much! Also letting the people you live with know what type of lifestyle your using.

The more you fast the easier it gets, I completely agree. Eating throughout the day seems so pointless to me now. And once you finally eat, you feel full and satisfied 🙌🏾

Learn to tweak if not losing weight. I found out omitting my nightly bowl of fruit was my problem.

Love this content Jackie. I’ve lost 5 pounds since starting a couple months ago but what is really amazing is how good I feel ❤

Forgive my ignorance, but what words are you saying at the end of your videos? Is this a common phrase? 🤔 I've been enjoying your content!

I watched another fasting woman who was so critical of people who eat 500 calories on their down days. She kept saying that's not alternate day fasting. I really encourage you to keep making videos because your approach is so much more doable, and you seem to be more accepting of people. Im completely turned off by how rigid some fasting you tubers are. It's not relatable.
