Be wary of the charming narcissist. They are wolves in sheep’s clothing. Perhaps worse than the overt narcissist because they are hidden and appear kind when in fact they are duplicitous. They have hidden sex lives, they are covert operators. Pathological liars.

The root of all unconscious motivation is fear. It is just expressed differently. The original trauma is separation from source, mother, Love, God, whatever word works for us. That original experience of separation creates tremendous terror, which, for some people, is so painful, is so threatening to their survival, that they deflect any direct confrontation with that terror by reaching out for an external, distracting stimuli. Desiring. Constant, uninterrupted reaching, seeking, needing some form of distraction from that terror.
We're talking about degrees here whenever speaking on personality disorders. Because all humans deflect away from direct confrontation with their original trauma. Narcissism is an extreme dissociation from interfacing with ones trauma. Thank you for sharing. We're becoming more educated and aware. It's intense out there. ❤️
