My Grandfather told me 'you can always tell how decent a person is by how they treat their pets'.
And he was right.

Have you heard the saying: I hope to become the wonderful person that my dog believes me to be! Hugs to Gus!💕

If more individuals would replicate the unconditional love, loyalty & companionship of dogs, what a better place it would be indeed. I Love Gus❤️

"But when we talk about the narcissist and their pursuit of power, it's of an entirely different nature [than a normal person's wish for power].... They want to have it in such a way that... somebody has to be in the power*less* position... so, that's where you come into the equation." Talk about nailing it.

Wish I could give this more than one thumbs up. It came at a moment when it was really needed. A "friend" has been scolding me for how I have "mismanaged" my life. Proof that I have "mismanaged"? I am far from wealthy, to put it mildly. Part of the reason for that is that I have almost always worked part-time so that I could really be there for my children and grandchild (and aging parent) when they needed me. Also, instead of hoarding money for retirement, I spent it on education and assistance for those same kids. They're all doing great -- especially as human beings. In the current materialistic age, those decisions are regarded as having been really "stupid." And I'm being reminded of that frequently. To the point where I was starting to buy the "stupid" label myself. Dr. C, when you said: "I prefer to invest in people, " a tear came to my eye. That was the first time in a long while that my instincts to help rather than hoard were validated. Thank you. And a hug to Gus. Love the Victor Frankel quotation too.

Dogs are here to teach us about love, compassion, and acceptance. They are certainly more emotionally intelligent than many humans I have known.

I always believed that life without meaningful purpose is empty even though I wasn't raised to think that way.
Thanks for affirming Dr. 👍

Knowledge and affirmation is the power to help gain yourself back. With that and no contact, for me at least, you find you start believing in yourself again and the fog, self doubt and confusion begins to lift. Things become clearer. Happiness and peace starts to trickle in. When you’re out of it and you find yourself looking at it from a healthy objective things become clear. Thank you Dr.C for helping me achieve that and for providing so much for so many. It always helps to have a “Gus” of your own too. :)

I have heard your dog walking before in a video :) ❤️ Dogs are my life. I have 13 now, adopted or foster. All of them are rescued. (I moved to a big farm for them.)

Thank you Dr. Carter my N listened. He heard everything. He acted like he didn’t hear until it came to payback or vengeance. I made the mistake of thinking he wasn’t listening. Oh yes he filed every word away.

There's nothing better than the love of a good pet. Gus looks like a great companion. Thank you Dr. Carter for all you do, much appreciated. I need to watch all your videos to remind myself that I'm not the crazy one in this relationship.

I have seven cats and two dogs. I don't know how I would have survived the fallout from my relationship with a narcissist without them. They love me, and I love them. You can't get any better than that. <3
