Fixing Charging Issues With MicroUSB

This is my original Nexus 7, which hasn't worked for quite some time. Finally decided to muck with it, and found a simple solution to a loose female end MicroUSB.

To all the viewers, most of the times inner casing is bent upwards so try not to mingle with outer casing and bend the inner casing with a very little force and u will be good to go.

This is exactly what my kindle paperwhite needed. I just inserted my micro tool to lift and staighten the plug insides and it is now charging. Thankyou

This was a lifesaver! My Nexus 5 stopped charging a few hours ago and I didn't know what I was going to do. I ordered a Nexus 6 but it won't arrive until the last week of January (don't get me started). I'm so glad I used this to get it working before the video was over. Thank you thank you!

It makes me so mad that with all our great technology we have this standard charging system that is terrible. All of my micro USB charging ports last about one year and then just stop working. I've had issues with every single one. Why can't the industry get together and design a better connector??

Yes!! :-) :-) :-) my young son who isn't very careful with charger when pulling it after charged. Well after trying to charge for 16 hours and still zero battery. And my son having tantrum and being quoted £30 to get it replaced! I found your video and it worked!! I used my thin bladed pen knife and he now has a working Hudl 1.Your a tantrum saver lol.

KUDOS!! I thought that my Flashlight was dead for the last month and a half. I tried your little trick here, and Boom! First attempt at plugging a micro USB charging cable in the little red light on my flashlight lit up. I was ecstatic, as this is my favorite flashlight ( and not cheap either).

I heated my knife blade with a lighter and stuck it down onto the prongs until it cooled. Atleast 1 prong was bent back and I had pressed it back down into place and another was loose. I have not had a problem since. Also did the port tightening.
