Using metal can destroy the battery as well as it can destroy the charging port.

This trick also works on jack, if you are having problem in jack of your phone then you can do the same procedure for it

Depends if you got something in the charging slot this may work, but first recommendation is to turn off the phone.

For me I find the sim eject tool is still to big to get the sides to clean it properly
