I bought a new 2018 Silverado and never really liked it. Five months after owning it, it started to have a engine knocking. Took it to the dealer and they said it was normal and that another truck was doing the same thing. 10 months later the knocking had gotten louder and the truck has been in the service department for 6 days now. Not knowing if Chevy will will really fix the issue, I bought a 2019 Ford F150 and traded the Silverado in sight unseen because its in the Chevy service department. I can say I'm much happier with the Ford F150.

Been a Ford fan since my first vehicle! A 1978 F-100 Custom with a 300 straight 6. Plain Jane as fuck, but nothing but reliable. So many great memories of that truck... My current 5.0 FX4 is serving me well. Maybe a Raptor next...

Fords in a good spot with the f-150. They got to witness their competitors releases and now they will be releasing the new F150 soon. I would like to see the Raptor updates though.

I think you have a Ford bias but I don’t care I would buy Chevy over Ford any day. Ford will not backup there trucks. I bought Fords till I was 50 years old. Last one I bought the paint started cracking and falling off a month after warranty was up They knew the paint was bad and would do nothing to fix it. I have bought 6 Chevys since, mostly trucks. Don’t regret it at all.

I love the performance of the F-150, but its design is a little bit like the 2015-2017 model. The Silverado is much better when it comes to exterior styling, although the Chevy's interior needs a refresh.

I've always leaned more towards Chevy but I'm a fan of anything American. I like both trucks and obviously there are some things that each one has better than the other. The one thing I don't like about the Ford is that dumb ass shifter. The shifter should be on the column. Unless it's a standard transmission. But those 10 speed automatics are actually pretty nice. I'm not concerned about fuel mileage but I have to have a V8 in my truck.

Another great real world comparison. One of the aspects that's very difficult to convey in a video platform is driving feel. As well as brake and steering feel and ergonomics. I have owned more than 20 new trucks and almost every time I go drive the big 4 and really try to be open minded. But for the last 30 years I have preferred the steering feel and directness the brake sensitivity and modulation and the ergonomics and build quality of Ford trucks. However I do like the daring styling of the Silverado and some features. But when I spend my $35000.00 to $65000.00 it has always gone to Ford .
