Try the cable lateral raises with the ankle straps around the wrist instead of the handle, its a game changer!

Isolation is only super important for high level bodybuilders who have a decade of heavy compound lifts under your belt. Like are you saying your traps are just so overly developed you can’t have them participate in another movement? Why are people worried when extra body parts factor in a movement lol?

I find that doing lateral raises one arm at a time on a cable machine is more effective at isolating the side delts and reducing traps activation, plus it has the added advantage of applying a more even tension throughout the whole range of movement compared to dumbbells.
