Week 1 Post-Op Update - Duodenal Switch (DS)

I am at one week post-op, and 11 pounds down since surgery. Very excited!

Yes...I am defiantly asking myself "what did I do to myself", saying hydrated is so hard, but I have no other choice but to stick with it and have faith bc I can't reverse it. Thanks so much for the advice..I needed it!!!

Yes...your reply was VERY helpful, but the problem I'm having is the Dr. never told me which surgery exact I was having....his nurse just said DA w/double anastomosis.

I have had the surgery now and I have another question....how long will I have to sip on drinks? I just want to chug some cold water down but I know that will make me sick. Do u still have to sip on drinks are can u drink like a normal person now?
