Ummm, this Ford truck history lesson doesn't really explain why the F150 is better than the Tundra.

Ford hired my brother out of college. He worked for Ford for about a decade in management. I will never forget him telling me that Ford will live or die by the F-150. Great vid!

I remember selling new Ford F100s as a young man, 3-on-the tree with a 6-cylinder engine, for less than $2000. At the same time, Lincolns were selling for over $10K. I'll bet that F100 was still running when the Lincloln was in the salvage yard.

My F150 has 255k miles and is still running strong. Sure it has the occasional minor thing go wrong, but parts are cheap and easy to replace and find. Has never left me stranded. Only way I'll get rid of it is if it burns to the ground.

The Ford F150 is probably the best thing Ford makes. It's actually a pretty good truck.

Hey Scotty, I am a Historian and a life long Ford pickup enthusiast. I just wanted to point out a couple of tweaks in this video. At 6:13 you were discussing the 7th generation F-150, but displayed a picture of a 9th generation F-150 truck. Not only that, but the 9th generation F-150 was actually produced from 1992 - 1996, but the F-250 and 350 of that generation were produced until 1997. The 10th generation F-150 actually started in 1997 with an overall of the typical square body design. While the F-250's and 350's were skipped a year in production, and were not seen again until 1999 with the new "Superduty" as they are tagged. Except there were a few rare F-250's made in 1998 that had the body of a 10th generation F-150. Another thing, at 8:05 you referred to that truck as a "supercab", when it was actually a crew cab truck. The crewcabs have the full 4 doors on a truck, while the supercabs are also known as the extended cab with suicide doors. Other than that, great video as always Scotty!

I own a 2017 F-150 with a 3.5L naturally aspirated V-6 and it is a great family car (truck) for me and my family. ♥️ F-150

I had an '86 F-150 and used it to plow my kilometer-long driveway for 5 years. Very, very tough driveline and strong, simple V-8 that would start on the coldest days with a shot of gas in the carburetor. Today's Ford trucks not so much- unlabelled fuse panels, special service tools for everything, an engineering team that actually released the Triton engine with the inconceivable spark plug flaws, and a welded drive shaft carrier bearing that should cost $25 to replace, now requiring a customer to replace the entire drive shaft for $1800. And Ford still is the leader, since other automakers seem to be following suit with their corporate strategy of forcing return trips to the dealership for stupid repairs.

They have always been a good truck, they run long and don't rust prematurely.
