Just before retirement.

First Cultivate the spirit to live happily with less money
Shift From metro city to 2nd 3rd tier city.
Develop an inexpensive enjoyable hobby or Passion to spend free time.
Stop seeing Idiot Box (TV), Minimize net Surfing,
Grow Your own vegetables and flowers in the balcony, Terrace, or in house Compound as a hobby.
Cook your own food Passionately, (not by grumbling)
Adopt Minimalistic living.
You will definitely not require such a 4 cr. hefty Sum.
This gives you maximum health & happiness.
If you have free time, without any passionate work, you will get all diseases:

Dont look for corporate advices. Life is not a corporation. You can design your life. I am a Sr. Management retired person, from a well known Indian corporate company.

So far I'm doing good, approaching retirement with about 800k in savings. Transitioning from building wealth to spending can be scary, especially with soaring inflation. My question is, after maxing out my tax-advantaged retirement accounts, what next?

Retiring shouldn't be our goal. Even if you don't like your current job, Instead find your passion and make a business out of it. Even if you earn 25~50k per month you will feel like working till 85 years of age. That will bring more happiness than having 4 crores in bank. just my thought.

What I figured out most don't want to retire completely at an early age. They just want to have enough money so that they need not to work for money anymore.
They may follow different interests where they will work happily part time for a minimal income without having too much pressure to follow a routine.
If major expenses are already achieved like own home, own marriage & children education/marriage; then even 100x of monthly income as a capital is also fine.

Already retired persons by age or body are talking about life retirement..

Early retirement concept is taken in all wrong way.

Every person should work(based on hobbies) without work you can't live on this planet. Good for mental and physical health. Retirement is from boring or hard which is not personally like to do type works.

Absolutely true. Without knowing this equation many intellectuals run behind money and loose peace of mind.

It's all mindset. According to me you should never think about retiring. Instead find some passion which can also generate income for you.

Thank you for this valuable information..
It's really important for everyone to have some figure planned out for the future..

There should be age factor in the formula. A 60 year person and a 20 year guy with same desired monthly expense can not settle for same bank balance.

He is a ceo guys, so relax... His ambitions are different, ours are different. 2-3 crs are enough to retire considering you have a home to live
