If you feel like you can't live without carbs, this video is for you.

Can't live without bread? Did you know this:

• The average American consumes 53 pounds (26 kg) of bread per year.

• The glycemic index of bread is 71 - 81.

• Low-fat bread has too many carbs that turn into fat and then spikes insulin, which blocks the ability to burn the fat.

• A lot of white bread has bleach (chlorine dioxide) in it, which may lead to type 1 diabetes.

• Transglutaminase is an enzyme that can worsen the sensitivity to gluten.

• When you consume whole grains, you're getting bran, which is loaded with phytic acid that blocks zinc.

• The more bread you consume, the more you're deleted of B-vitamins, vitamin E, and zinc. Vitamin B1 and vitamin E are essential for the heart.

Keto-friendly alternatives to bread:

1. Oopsie bread (cloud bread)
2. You can make bread out of almond flour, cauliflower, chia seed, flaxseed, coconut flour, and zucchini
3. My keto-friendly bread recipe

If you're craving bread, you're usually deficient in vitamin B1. Taking nutritional yeast can help reduce these cravings. Healthy keto and intermittent fasting can also help make your hunger go down, making it easier to avoid bread.

Been on Keto diet for four years now, and giving up bread was by far the hardest part. I have found that the so called 'alternatives' just dont cut it, so the only thing that worked for me was to just give up on having bread. After some time, the cravings stopped and I enjoy the diet. I found bread cravings a lot like tobacco cravings (which I have also overcome). Bread alternatives were some combination of disgusting, insanely expensive, and not that low in carbs. love this channel.

I use to feel like I couldn't live without bread, sweet tea, pasta, and French fries. But I have for 2.5 yrs. Down 143 pounds and very healthy now.

I felt this way too ... giving up bread was unthinkable. I baked my own bread every week and it was so good. There is NO alternative to bread that tastes even close to homemade bread, so I gave it up altogether. After 1 1/2 I no longer have that desire for toast every morning. My health was more important than a slice of bread.

Like a lot of it in moderation or as a periodic treat.

The most difficult part of fasting is that I'm bored not eating anything.

I am a diabetic. I am not on meds I watch what I eat and check my sugar often. I take natural things like turmeric, cinnamon, bitter melon to lower my sugar... but lately I feel like no matter what I did my numbers where still elevated. I can lower them for the day but the very next it's high again kind of a yoyo effect. I knew about keto and intermittent fasting but never put it to practice till now and I have to tell you my numbers are steady...this morning I was 87 on the meter. Looking back what's crazy is that I was all ready living a ketoish life style I didn't eat any carb other then the ones that where slow absorbing like sweet potato, chick peas and so on...the point is that if you're a diabetic that is trying to do your best the natural way I encourage you to take the plunge and go all the way by doing keto and if you won't regret it.

I don't know about yall but I'm eating a bacon, egg and cheese sandwich right now!!😋 Got some homemade sugar free blueberry preserves on it too! There are low carb and no carb breads on shelves everywhere!! Aldi has 3 different zero carb breads. Kroger has several breads, most are 3 or 4 carbs per slice. My personal favorite is Costco. Their zero carb breads come in slices, hotdogs buns, and also hamburger buns. I usually stock up on the hamburger buns as they make the perfect sandwich. My ketones were in the high range this morning.

Bread was without a doubt the most difficult thing for me to give up when I started keto, I tried a few low carb recipes but none of them worked for me so after a while I just accepted the fact that I had to stop eating bread, period. Totally fine now, I love the keto way of eating and fasting! Cravings are gone! Love you Dorctor. Thank you 💙🙏😚

Well it differs for everyone....on my weight loss journey, i lost 81 lbs in 2 yrs. Planned/designed my own meal plan. Wanted to lose slow to avoid massive amounts of loose skin. I didnt eat bread every day, but i still ate it. Like for sandwiches and toast for oatmeal. It didnt affect my weight loss at all. But however....i DID give up some things i could live without for life. Like sodas, about 90% of all candies, beer, quite a few processed foods, etc. Man i use to me some Reeses Peanutbutter cups. Aint touched them in 7 yrs. We divorced in 2012 and will NEVER RECONCILE. Lolz, its about what u can live without. I gave up a lot....but no sir--no ma'am, she aint giving up the bread. love ya doc, but nopes! 😂😂😂😂

"I can't live without bread" - that's literally me. Having said that, I am French. If I was living in the US, I would never eat bread because I yet to find one that tastes good.

Toughest was to let go of my homemade bread and pasta. Will always miss it I think. Made some bread with almond flour but it is not the same, but I am persevering.
