For people whose wondering, i think this is the reason they put that in its eye:

When cats are sleeping under anaesthesia or they’re in a coma or something idk, then sometimes when that happens, the cat cant close its eyes! So this green gel is there so the eyes wont dry out, cuz if it does, the cat might go blind! I think thats the reason 🤔 sorry if thats not right ❤
