I used to put it in the corner of my eye but with eyes open so i can see it 😂 it's just easy because it spreads on itself, then blink and blink

This was one method suggested by my eye doctor, I’m an adult but I seem to have a phobia of putting things in my eye or near my eye surface, but I’m working on it. For now, since he said I have dry eyes, I’ll practice this method first then try to work my way up to the traditional drop style.

Thank you for posting this. I have been really scared of eye drops almost all my life and my eye doctor recommended I use eye drops because I have floaters and my eyes may be dry. I was really scared aboit putting them in and then say this YouTube short about putting it in the corner. It really helped and made me not as afraid. I truly thank you. 💚

This is the beat advice for my elderly mom who is having difficulty placing a full drop and thus her eye pressures are still high and she has 5 extra bottles of eye drops in her refrigerator!

Most of our eyelids aren't clean all the time. Wouldn't that cause this technique to become an issue, especially for people who have to take eye drops daily?

This is good when you’re new to eye drops, I started doing this then slowly I started opening my eye more and more until I can do it without closing my eyes

This is how I've always put eye drops in . But with my eye open .. tilt my head and and put it in the "corner" .. I always felt like other people where doing it so much more complicated then it needed to be, seeing them try to force their eye open and drop it from like 10 inches away..

But tbh, from someone who's been doing this for years.. I just recently started realizing that my eye drops would stop working after a month or so after first opening one.. and it would actually make my eyes dry out in the middle of the night (I have dry eyes, and my eyes will get very stail in the morning and hard to open my eyes.. which leads to chronic sleep paralysis)
But I thought "what if I'm contaminating the eye dropper when I touch it with my skin /bed of my eye?" And I think that's what I was doing.. cuz ive been very careful for the last 2 months and sure not to contaminate or get anything on the eye drops to see if they still have the reverse effect ..

But yea things have been working along better since I have been doing it the "not easy" way / the way most people do.. which I hate.. some times I miss .. and it always makes you get a little tense and prepare for something to hit your eye..
Trust me I prefer to do it this way.. but if you do.. and you start noticing them not working anymore.. it's because you contaminated the drops.. it could just be the surface .. or in the liquid from after you stop squeezing.. idk..
But I was looking up how to put eye drops in.. and saw this short.. and just wanted to share my experience.. yes it is much easier.. you don't even have to close to eye.. but if you do it that was.. try not to actually touch the eye drops on your skin/eye.. cuz I've noticed it messed with it and makes it defeat the purpose.. and I'd wake up with even worse dry eyes then if I didn't use them..

the way i use eyedrops is pulling my bottom lid out so its not directly on my eye and then drop the eyedrop into the little opening that the bottom lid makes

i got this reflex that literally forces me to not take eyedrops, this technique is very human, very easy to use
