Today I made the final decision to quit doing DD.
5 years and over 11000 deliveries I have nothing to show for it except 160000
On a car bought new for this.
Starting out making 30 bucks an hour and now about 15. I will not give door dash anymore of my energy. It's embarrassing to even tell someone what I do anymore.

Omg I must be soooo sooo lucky 😢 I haven’t received orders below $13 dlls today. My highest pay $27 dlls. It 3 pm and I’ve already made $120 dlls for the day. Most of it in DoorDash. I’m in San Diego California. I’m so sorry this is happening in the rest of the country 😫☹️

This video is 100% accurate which is why some wonder why work this kinda job to begin with. The answer is because you don’t have to have any real qualifications, you can dress like a complete bum while working, you don’t need any real education and you can create your own schedule to be your own “Boss” hence being an Independent Contractor. This is why you can’t feel bad for people who choose this line of work trying to make a living off of it. It’s smart as a side job and knowing all the tricks for best orders but to think someone should be making a living off of this is Delusional. It’s hoping and praying for the nearly impossible. Grown adults complain too much when the job THEY CHOSE isn’t cutting it and blame everyone else. This Video is absolutely Accurate. Get. A. Real. Job. Great Video.

I've only been doing it a couple months. I'm retired so I thought that I might as well drive an hour or two and make some xtra cash. So far I've only made an average of $22 an hour. Glad I'm not reliant on this job. I wouldn't recommend it full time. After today considering not doing it anymore. Couple of bad runs that I thought would be profitable. Pain in the ass hospital Emergency room with parking two blocks away. Courthouse downtown where there is no parking unless you pay. Of course the customer wants me to hand deliver it to her on the 3rd floor of coutrthouse. Took a chance and parked illegally. Thankfully no ticket.
