I got fired in December and started doordashing. Fortunately I was recently approved after being on the wait list for 3 months. My daily goal is 150. I do that in about 6 hours and I go home. While all of this is good advice, it's still subjective to your market and zones in your area. Where I am, some of the best paying orders take you out of your zone and you would be foolish to decline them as the alternative means taking 4-5$ orders going 4, 5, or more miles, going in or out of your zone, to bad restaurants with l9ng wait times, and rarely any tip. I'm finding many of these strategies used in most of these YouTube videos, especially in urban areas or major city centers, just don't apply when dashing in the suburbs or more rural areas. Take these tips and strategies just as a guide and if they can be used effectively in your market, do it. Otherwise, it is up to you to figure out works best in your market simply by going out and working the app, trial and error, and learning what does and doesn't work best for you. As w/most things, you become more efficient the more you do them. Same w/gig work. I've done nothing but increase my hourly, time spent, drive time/distance for orders and being in basically the right place-right times. I agree though learning your market/area the restaurants is important. Theres been several of these I've already scratched off my accepts. The most notable one is Crumble Cookie, I swear EVERY order for that crap bakery is 30m plus drives. And the other is 1 particular Taco Bell that is a clown circus everytime I show up. Hell, 1 time w/a duo their ovens were broke.. I mean.. COME ON!!

I door-dashed today for the first time, zero experience, zero expectations. Made a few classic mistakes like driving to hotspots that are further away, accepting orders that are less than $1.50/mile, and rejecting ones on my way to a nearby hotspot, but I still made $63.44 in 4 hours of driving. I am more than motivated to get to that $100 mark tomorrow, and then kill it on the weekend and hopefully hit $150! This is probably the best job I've ever had!!!

Just a heads up at 4:14 ya showed order 12 making 131 then showed where ya made #13 and were at $165 but the next delivery #14 shows where ya made $142
