Thank you so much. I’m 62 and on a limited income, so I really didn’t want to call a plumber. I was able to follow along and fix my toilet myself.

I’m a college student away from my dad and I was stressing so much because he couldn’t be here to help me, but now I’ve got my internet dad to help me!! THANK YOU!!

It took longer to watch the video than to fix my toilet. Excellent instructions!

Thanks for the video. I have the same type of fluidmaster fill valve and I cleaned it out. It is much faster filling now - but it is still slow compared to my other toilets. It takes ~ 5 minutes still!

OK, this helped me a ton. I thought maybe my toilet water was a different water source because all of a sudden, not slow progression, the toilet filled at a trickle. I called the HOA president saying we might have a break on secondary water, because all of my other water was fine. Turns out, it's not a separate source. There was soooo much crap built up in that valve (looks like calcium mostly( and after a cleaning of the valve, toilet fills like brand new. I couldn't get the full hose off. It's basically welded on there with junk. But I didn't need to. ❤❤❤❤. Life saver! Well, you and the HOA president who gave me the idea to check that valve in the 1st place. You gave me the "how".

Wife found your video. I watched it a couple of times, then put my laptop on top of toilet, stopped it where needed. Didn't have water pressure you showed when taking flow unit apart. Took apart the filler line & dug out the rubber insert. Reconnected filler line (minus rubber insert), allowing only 1/2 water volume at shut off. Flushed toilet & filled with 45 seconds verses 4+ minutes when this exercise began. It's amazing what a little stop & go instructions can accomplish!!! My wife & I both want to thank

I’m 15 and my toilet has been so slow for years, “literally” and I tried this and freaked out because the rubber piece came off that lid piece and it was hard to put back in but finally got it!! Thanks dude

I like how you show us what tricks you know to try and fix things, instead of just replacing it because its a bit older. Thanks again!

Thanks so much!
Watched your video and followed your instructions. Easy-peasy!!
It is so rewarding as a single woman to repair things in my home that traditionally, in the past, I would have a man do or call in a service.
Thanks again for your help.

Great video. My problem is a little different. First flush is fine, but fill is slow and sometimes incomplete. Turn off water supply completely and then back on, and it fills fast and complete. Next flush, same thing, slow and incomplete, but turn off water supply and back on, it fills fast and complete. This repeats for every flush. Took off the fill valve, flushed it and cleaned it. No change, only get a fast and complete fill after turning the water supply completely off and then back on. Baffling to me what is the problem and how to fix. Might it be an incorrect rubber seal? or defective valve assembly? This is a brand new toilet!

You're a godsend my brother. Took a $10 part and literally fixed it in 10 minutes!!! If you can plug a cable into an outlet, you can definitely fix something like this :) Thanks again
