People always tend to go into trying to meet their ex in person straight after a break up, what you need to do is work your way up the ladder, you are at the bottom after a break up. Even though you feel you are not, you need to rebuild rapport and advance yourself.

The progression is based on the things you talk about, but it ranges from telling stories sharing opinions and even sharing feelings when you’re close again.

Using this progression image as an idea on how you should follow the strategy on how to progress with your ex, and re connect with your ex after a break up.

It's been five years now and she has not came back yet, she tells me to move on and find some one else to be with, she says that we are just going to be friends nothing more, that hurts when you really do care about them

In a nutshell I am struggling to maintain communication and a connection and meet with my ex who initiated communication and wanted to meet, talk and hangout. It is important to note she has a history of trauma and abuse and has a younger son whom her abuser unfortunately still has shared custody with.

i re connected with my ex sort of i got her number and she texted me but her responses have been really coy and she didn't respond to my last one so i haven't texted again do i try again or wait and ask to see her in person or just keep it chill till shes contacting mee

My ex broke up with me and got with a guy she knew from her friends very quickly, they got together and have been dating for 7 months now. Yes I'll admit I made errors of pleading at the start, however I have done the NC many times, and reached out, some positive some not. I don't use social media, therefore my first step was texting, the last contact we had she said she changed her number, causing that contact to be cut now. I want to write a letter but don't know. Any tips??

Ughh....this is gross advice. If you love something, let it go. If it comes back to you, it's yours. I'd love to get back with my ex. She broke up with me. I continue living my life, and for months, I never contact her and she's always the one who reaches out first. If she never reached out, I'd forget about her. But every couple weeks she texts me. I don't read this as her trying to get back with me, but it's clearly a sign that I don't text her until she texts me first. I guess I'm playing a long game, cause I miss her but I'm not desperate to get her back. We both see other people, but she keeps texting me randomly. Whatever happens will happen. I guess this process was better when you had to write hand written letters to each other. But every message has meaning
