I honestly don't know what I would do without my creative outlets, it's the only way I know how to de-stress and ground myself.

I thoroughly enjoyed Nina's talk and will be buying portable white boards to keep in the car to encourage my children to express their emotions in a productive way.

I think people forget that creativity comes in all forms. It's not just about painting or sculpting or "art" but about how you approach any kind of task really

Giving yourself permission to randomly scribble away your anger is wonderful. thanks Nina for that helpful strategy.

Finding creative outlets has been a game-changer for me when it comes to my overall wellbeing. Not only do these activities bring me joy and a sense of accomplishment, but they also allow me to tap into my imagination and think outside the box. It's a great way for me to escape the stresses of everyday life and find some much-needed relaxation and rejuvenation

Today's fact: The term 'footage' comes from films being measured in feet, when being edited in the early days of film making.

I rather like the idea of "creative gazing". I walk to and from my workplace and am mostly on auto pilot, running late again. I intend to try Nina's suggestion.

I like to think of that fear as disappointment in not having created the art yet, and once you create it that fear/disappointment goes away.

As we age we often lose our creativity. Thanks for motivating us to find that creative play in everything we do!

Being calm, mindful and present in every situation is helpful and essential when you're looking fear in the eye.

Everyone needs a creative outlet, getting into that flow state is fundamental for healing our trauma and just getting some of those suppressed emotions out!

As suggested, I am inviting my fear for a cup of coffee. We're going to have a long chat over the imperfect cake I baked.

My grandchild is at that age where she bounces along to whatever music she hears. it's cute. So I relate to what you're saying Nina.

I know she only just mentioned it briefly but there's actually been studies that suggest cave paintings were used to tell stories! That's why so many of them have the lines through it, because when there's fire flickering away underneath the lines give motion to the pictures. How cool is that??? So yes, creativity has been a part of us since the very beginning!

Thanks for sharing your daughter's story about her pet rock project. The need for it to be "perfect" is something I can relate to. That's why my knitting basked is filled with unfinished projects.

This is a really valuable skill, you can call on your creative self for all kinds of things, not just therapeutic arts and crafts
