avg temps are not really much use due to the nature of averages, peak and minimum tests seem to make more sense as they represent the highest and lowest. It also represents "real world" usage as cinebench replicates how a desktop PC would render a project with varying types of asset.

Actually, cinebench is a totally valid tool to see the temperatures.
The reason being simple. I don't use my cpu at 100% of usage 24/7.
So it going to 100% usage and then dropping slightly, its a fine test by me.

I could let a 10 hours render running on the cpu, but that is just not the use case for my gaming pc. So what's the point in doing that test?

It's really negligible. The drop is so quick that the temp doesn't have enough of a drop. What matters is the 'high temp' during the entire run of the test.

I don’t think any game is going to run 100% for 30 minutes either right? It should still give me a good indication of my cooler’s performance I would think.

These benchmarks cause the cpu to be TEMP throttled. I always use water cooling.

i am using boinc computing program when need to figure out temps i just choosed use 100% processor time opened HW info and it goes something about 20-30 mins and it was consistent 100% cpu usage all the time

If someone could answer my question I would be grateful. I have run r23 and 2024 versions and my results are average but the image that renders appears to render way slower than any I have seen on videos online. Is that normal?

Hi, when I start the test the cpu immediately throttling, the fans are set up to max and the temperature hits 100C. The test runs for 10 minutes and the cpu clock speed is 3GHz(the cpu max frequency is 5GHz). Also Intel XTU shows power limit throttling, the cpu is idle, and power limit and current/edp throttling while gaming. Do you think these problems can be fixed with replacing the motherboard, the laptop is under warranty. Thanks!
