Whether you're overclocking your CPU or you need to make sure that your thermals are in check, using the stability test with AIDA64 Extreme is an easy way to do the job. In this video I do a quick overview of AIDA64 and offer some examples on how it can be a useful tool on every enthusiasts must install list.

Just tested my new deepcool as500 with an intel i5 10600k, it stabilized at 47° with 100% load, after 5 minutes. I'm happy, thanks man!

thanks for this helpful video, I'm desperately trying to chase down the cause of my pc having random low fps/lag spikes despite having good specs even for 1440p gaming with a 3700x cpu and 3070 gpu. I did 30 mins of AIDA64 stability test checking the CPU, FPU, CACHE and SYSTEM MEMORY checked fine. All drives have checked out fine. My OS SSD even passed all 10 different SeaTools tests earlier. Games still do the same thing with my older rx 480 gpu installed I've discovered, and ram tested fine in windows memory diagnostic and nearly 7 hours of testing in memtest86....I'm thinking possibly CPU is faulty, but heavily leaning towards my b450 asus motherboard being bad, since, I tried updating to a newer bios upon a recommendation and it caused frequent BSOD, crashing, and system freezing/hangs until I reverted back to the older version. People told me possibly a dying PSU could cause issues too. I really took for granted having a modern secondary pc in the ddr3 days to test stuff on to troubleshoot...I need to order a motherboard and new PSU and I'd have a complete second frankenstein pc on a modern ddr4 interface I could use for only a single system has really really sucked during all of this. I've been main-ing this ryzen tower in some upgrade fashion or the other for years now. I have a couple year old gaming laptop but it just infuriated me since it was expensive at the time yet can't play or do much these days without the cpu being eaten up badly, father time has not been kind to the 4 core 4 thread i5 7300HQ cpu inside it to say the least. Temps are ok. I'm just truly stumped. I actually ordered a new x570 expensive high end mobo, but, sadly, with my luck, it arrived DOA so I'm in the middle of a refund on that.

so i just did this and realized that my cheap cooling pad doesnt do anything 😭

Hey, on my tests on my i7 1400K, everything withing 1 minute is just fine. Temps are on 85°C. (100°C is max) Then after a minute everything cools down. Temps on 60°C while still on 100% CPU Usage. But also the Clocks go down on around 44000mHz even though they could go up to 5600mHz. The Power comes down from around 240W to 130W. Something is holding my CPU back and I don't know what. On benchmark tests it is also below average.
Maybe it is protecting itself to go higher than 85°C. Maybe not enough power from the PSU. I "only" have 650W. I haven't set anything in the BIOs yet.
What do you think?

Sir, I am using i5 10400 + UHD 630 on gaming and CPU cooler i use Cooler master H410R . Now I play GTA V on 720 p low setting about 2 hours and I am getting 77° ! Is it normal ?! If I use graphic Card in the future I will get lower temperature?!

Many thanks for this video bud! Everyone seems to have a different protocol and to use different pieces of software when it comes to CPU stressing & stability testing. Which makes it damn hard to get the consistent results that we need to call our OC setup "stable". For instance I could be fine across my Intel Burn + Cinebench + CPU-Z integrated tests, but then never make it through an OCCT test. So would you say that using Aida64 only is a reliable system stability protocol or do you use other softwares on top of that? Would be dope to have your opinion on that. Thanks again bud!

Hi, when I start the test the cpu(i7 13700HX) immediately throttling, the fans are set up to max and the temperature hits 100C. The test runs for 10 minutes and the cpu clock speed is 3GHz(the cpu max frequency is 5GHz). The cpu score in cpu-monkey is 1371(muticore), but mine has 938. Also Intel XTU shows power limit throttling, the cpu is idle, and power limit and current/edp throttling at the same time while gaming. Do you think these problems can be fixed with replacing the motherboard, the laptop is under warranty. Thanks!

Thanks, I'm actually overclocking my 12-year-old PC which is very interesting to do.

Cpu Specs.
I7 960, 3.2ghz overclocked to 4.0ghz
Be quiet, Air-cooler

30-minute stress test.
Cpu temp: Average 56 to 58 degrees.

Cpu core:
#1, 2, 3, 4: Average 65 to 78 degrees

Fan speed: 2700 to 2711 rpm

My 5600X won't hit 55 C under load no matter what. Paired with a 360 AIO but still

how long do you think i should run it to where I could find an issue with my new build? I built a new pc 2 days ago and got 2 random crashes over the span of 3 to 4 hours of gaming. I'm using a 5600x and an aorus x570 elite wifi and its been giving me nothing but issues since the beginning of the bios flashback. I just updated to f31 the latest bios ill see if that fixes it. The error codes were the WHEA 18 and 19

I have a omen i5 7300 notebook and i marked all the settings for the test and it reached 99°c .
But like yours it reaches 90 and falls to 80s.
Im going to replace the thermal phaste with Grizzly kryonaut and try again.
But should i do all setings???
Or just the 4?

when the processor is at 100% does it use all its tdp? my i5 has 85w tdp and at 100% only uses 50w

So I just ran this with the same settings as you (CPU/FPU/cache/memory) for 15 minutes. The first 5 minutes the temperature was increasing slowly, and the last 10 it capped at 83-84c. Max was 84.

Is that decent temperatures for 100% load with aida64, from your experience? I have a non-OCed Ryzen 2600 with stock cooler. I also only have 1 exhaust fan and I will soon be installing 2 at the front (intake).

Hello.
I have an i7 4790k with a Cooler master hyper 212 black edition push-pull fans. On idle I have 31C and When I stress test it on stock frequency the max temp in Aida64 is 75C after 20 min. If I did OC at 4.4 the idle temp are 38-40C but when I stress test it's going at 95C after 5 sec, but if I check on Aida64 only Cpu stress it's stay on 65-70C max. I follow some tutorials for overclocking. Do you think my Cpu cooler is not good or the CPU itself is damaged?
Thank you

Hi, please help. Just bought this prebuilt from micro center (PowerPecG900) I started the test and at 19 seconds it said “Warning: Hardware failure detected! Test Stopped” ... will it not show me what failed exactly?
