Trust me, you’re not that important to the authorities. If you’re not intending to commit a crime you have nothing to worry about. China is one of the safest country in the world and it’s citizens are happy that those cameras exist.

It’s funny that here in the US or anywhere in the so called West, Cameras are called “security cameras” but the same Cameras, with the same purpose are called “surveillance camera” if they are in China…..same with fingerprints and questions at the entrance of the Country, I thought he was describing the US, specially for the rudeness of the immigration agents 😂.

The cameras are for public security, not to keep track of you. If you have done no wrong then you needn't have to worry.

Fun Fact: London is the city with most cameras in the entire world. But nobody complained about that ;) BBC: The Chinese government is monitoring pedestrians and the Chinese people have no freedom.;) If you search GOOGLE, it’s not China that has the most surveillance cameras in the world, but Singapore and London.in Singapore they have tons and tons of security cameras as deterence for people to commiy crime because you cant get away with it. these cameras are there to keep you safe in the day and even at night, something most westerners do not have the luxury of...feeling safe on the streets.THe cameras are not there to monitor every single person, they are there to record everything in case there's an incident, then it can be reviewed. With the amount of people moving around it would be impossible to monitor individuals.CCTVs everywhere is a must for a secure and accountable society, Only criminals fear surveillance cameras.

Why did you think the Chengdu Starbuck is a fake one. It's an absolutely legitimate Starbuck in the busiest city center of Chengdu.

Oh gosh, Starbucks Reserve is a high end Starbucks store. It's not just in China, it opens everywhere. It's genuine Starbucks just more expensive.

The sarcasm in this video is so overflowing to the point that most Americans would probably miss it

So sad how people out side of China have very little understanding about China.

The construction workers kind of work like uber drivers. If you need someone to do a specific task, you go on the app and request a construction worker, and in a few minutes, one will show up.🤣

Brilliant. Thank you. Forgot to mistake the mall security guards as police.

Awesome, I love how you don't go overboard with the sarcasm and keep it quite subtle, though it means the jokes are going to fly over most people's heads.

I have visited China 4 times (mid 90s, 2002, 2006 and 2018) and God willing, if everything goes accordingly I would be in China again next month (keeping fingers crossed). I remembered street crimes were really bad in the 90s, pickpockets, scams on tourists, etc.... not to mention big scale corruptions in government officials in district /state levels from wealthy businessmen too. After 2000, things began to change with CCTVs managing petty street crimes and huge cleaned up in corruptions causing many multi millionaires fleeing China from corruption implications and many government officials were indicted - punishments were heavy and serious, today, China is one of the safest country (if not the safest). To me, I hope my country has as many cameras everywhere which deter crimes, like many said, if you did not have evil intentions, the cameras are there to keep you safe and criminals hate cameras because they make their work much harder. If you stay in China long enough, you'll know why China is hated by many of its western counterpart because China made them look really bad, even the US recently warned their own citizens not to visit Xinjiang because they cannot afford to let their own Americans to see the truth - there's no genocide and no human right violations. Anyway enjoy your China explorations, just make sure you have Google Translate Chinese language downloaded for offline use as very high percentage of Chinese people do not speak English.
