GUANGZHOU IS SO MODERN! | A Canadian's First Time To China

Guangzhou is the 3rd largest city in China and is a very important economic and trading hub for the country. It is especially famous for its annual Canton Fair, historical temples, incredible shopping and of course Cantonese cuisine. This was my first stop on my trip to China and I'm very glad it was! This city has a lot to offer and I will definitely be back :)

I have travelled to China and lived in Guangzhou for 7 month teaching English, and like you it was a culture shock, coming for New Zealand with only 5 million people . I felt very safe walking around in the evenings as ALL the shops were open till 10 at night and the streets were so brightly lit up. So i do know how you feel. I am a blue eyed blonde and yes did get stared at alot - but loved the attention .. lol and the odd photo with the locals - i felt like a celebrity .. hahaha

It’s funny that here in the US or anywhere in the, so called West, Cameras are called “security cámara” (and are everywhere, the difference is that we don’t pay attention to them)…but the same Cameras, with the same purpose are called “surveillance camera” if they are in China. Anyways, looks a very modern, clean and organize society.

Less foreigner visitors in China recent years due to COVID and the fake news about China.
What Alina showed is a real China city and ordinary people life in China.
Looking through your own eyes is the best way to know about a foreign country, especially China.

As a Chinese borned in Hong Kong China, moved to Canada in 1989, China was still a poor country had nothing can compare to Canada, after 35 years of development by hard working Chinese turned things upside down, Canada has not much thing can compare to China, I am pround of my motherland China.

A really interesting video on a very modern city. I'd read books about this city when it was known to the outside world as Canton. Every Canadian knows of Cantonese style Chinese Food since many of the Chinese who worked on building the CPR opened restaurants in towns and cities along the rail lines. For such a short time you covered a lot of ground. I hope you get some Alina time while you're in China. I love your content but don't want you to get run down creating it. Guangzhou has now been added to the ever growing list of places that you shown to me that I'd like visit in person.
