It’s funny how people think the Old Testament refutes God being all loving because of all the massacres but forget how scary the Revelation is in the NEW Testament. God would be a good God if He didn’t have balance between his love mercy and grace, and righteousness anger and justice. It’s like people think God can only have one emotion, which just doesn’t make any sense.

Also by the time of the NT, the people of Israel knew God more than then back during the time of Moses. The people had no law, way of life, and did not know God as well as say, the time of David.

If you have a kid, when they're 3 you tell them directly not to do something. When they're 13 you explain why it is they can't do something. Humanity just wasn't at a point, culturally, for the prophecy to unfold until Jesus.

There are several different gods in the Old Testament. Yaweh was added in as a name in the last 1000 years or so. El Elyon was the name used for the most high God. They are not the same label. But agreed on the commentary over all.
It’s just the Bible versions have changed some vital parts including those labels to fit their narrative.
