Makes alot of sense. Clears up a ton about all the smack talked about biblical hypocrisy. Read, practice, study... And seek answers, and faith. That's what it's all about.

Further revelations from god? And who was it revealed upon?

The difference is that the old testament had a wrathful God and people didn't like that. So they came up with the New Testament with a more loving God. That is the biggest difference I noticed. Someone correct me if I'm wrong. I want to be wrong.

I am a Muslim trying to understand this, but it seems very suspicious to me to call these books "sacred", because 1. Why do the facts mention screams "man-made" more than "God-made"? i.e. why are we consider this book our reference for the undisputed truth if it was referenced from normal human beings? 2. Why does this indicate strongly that a church had come up with the New Testament just to over-compensate for the Old Testament image of being "harsh and punishing" so it would appeal more to the crowds and for it to spread faster? 3. Why would God not collect all his thoughts and commandments into a one coherent reference that is clear, concise and final? [and doesn't that signify the importance of Quran that came later to achieve that]?

I am asking genuinely.

Question:
i have a believer friend who is wondering about interpretations differences between the old and new testament.
For instance Matthew 2:15 references Hosea 11: 1
"I called my son out of Egypt" In the old testament this verse is talking about Israel and God saving them from slavery, in the new testament this is talking about Jesus and Him saving Israel and all of us from sin (which is true slavery).
I personally don't see much issue here, but he seems to think there's an issue.

How are they complimentary? Jesus says go to sinners while Old Testament gives clear warnings about this.

What's the difference? Simple.... The old testament tells a bunch of lies. The new testament tries to square those lies. Kind of like when Rogue One tried to fix that vulnerability design plot hole in the Death Star by saying some rogue scientist put it in there deliberately!

Jesus Christ is concealed somewhat but still very present in the Old Testament, and obviously not concealed in the New Testament. Both testaments are indelibly intertwined and commingled across the 60+ books written over thousands of years with no contradictions. Only YHWH could've put that together. Glory to God

basically, God saw that we were not to be saved, so he sent his only son down to earth to live a sinfree life, so we could be saved through Jesus Christ. unreal. thank you Lord, we dont deserve you.

If new testament is build upon old testament, then do you believe in old testament...? If yes... Then do you support slavery...?

To put it simply, the 39 books of the Hebrew-Aramaic scriptures, ''the old testament''
is about the creation to the founding of the nation of Israel, the Pentateuch. (5 books).
The historical books, (12 books), the nation of Israel and the promised land and events.
Poetic books, (5 books), Prophetic books (17 books). All these books are connected to
Genesis 3:15. as a guide to leading up to Malachi. These books are all in reference to
Israel only and the law of Moses upon the 12-tribes of physical Israel. No heavenly life
was possible for anyone, but their future was an earthly inheritance. Jesus Christ had
not been born yet, so everyone of the nation of Israel did not have the ''calling, '' by holy
spirit, reserved only for future ''brothers of Christ.'' Eph.4:1, 2 Tim.1:9, Heb.3:1, 2 Pt.1:10.
Matt.23:8. The Messiah had to die first as a sacrificial ransom before any Christian had
the heavenly calling, not before then. So all the prophets up to the last book of Malachi
will receive (including the Patriarchs), an earthly life in the resurrection, beginning with
Abel, the brother of Cain. Starting from Matthew to Revelation, the gathering of the
chosen, ''upward calling, '' began in 29 C.E. when Jesus chose 12 apostles from among
the Jews, and the Gentiles, (people of the nations under a new covenant, the one that
God had with physical Israel was to be expired in 70 C.E. Israel was written off the list
of Jehovah God's chosen property, or possession because it did not want to reconcile
and renew the covenant God had made with Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob. It was a sad
ending for Israel and its relationship it had enjoyed for so many centuries with the God
of Moses, Abraham, and the others who worshiped the true God Jehovah. Jesus was
cruelly and horribly mistreated by the very people God had offered, to regain the loving
relationship he had with them. Jesus himself predicted the awful, terrible future that
awaited the Jews to this day. Jehovah God has nothing to do with them anymore. To
him, the nation of Israel is dead with no chance of recovery and salvation in the end.
Matthew 23:37-39. Today, a spiritual nation of Israel has taken the place of the old one.
Its number is 144, 000 chosen heavenly anointed, ''little flock'' that will join Jesus in
heaven to help judge the spiritual 12-tribes of Israel in the new world to come. The
Kingdom of Jehovah God on earth as it is in heaven. Matthew 6:9, 10, 5:5, Psa. 37:
9-11, 29. Those repenting of their sins and doing the will of Jehovah God today will see
the new world of paradise. Where many blessings will abound until there is no more
want, for happiness and joy will fill the hearts of all the worshipers of Jehovah God.
What are you willing to do to be there, living forever without end? Amen.
