If God is "the same yesterday, today, and forever" then why would genocide be out of the question today?

Remember that Netanyahu compared the Palestinians to Amalek. Let that sink in.

Israel is using that same exact verse to justify their current genocide

We’re all sick to death of this. Stop justifying genocide!

"Before you speak to me about your religion, first show it to me in how you treat other people;
Before you tell me how much you love your God, show me in how much you love all His children;
Before you preach to me of your passion for your faith, teach me about it through your compassion for your neighbors.
In the end, I'm not as interested in what you have to tell or sell as I am in how you choose to live and give." - Cory Booker.

The guy literally said that God changed over time, that in the old testament he was a tribal warrior and in the new testament he was a forgiving nice guy. This contradicts the scripture itself saying "God is the same yesterday, tomorrow and forever"😂

"Dennis Prager says yes"

Amazing how Christians can't just say, "This was written by a lot of people, so some of it doesn't make sense, but the overall themes are good."

My favorite clip is at the very end of the debate, where you ask Dinesh whether YHWH justifiably commanded the slaughter of innocent women and children. Dinesh says yes. Then you say “well there you have it then.” And Dinesh goes “So what?”

It’s a bit sickening how flippantly these apologists handwave genocide like it’s nothing.

If you can listen to Dinesh longer than 3 minutes at a time you’re something special.

A father regularly abuses his wife and his son, some times nearly to death. After many years the father changes his ways, now he's kind and giving, but is still brought to trial for the behavior of the past.
The judge asks the father, I see you've changed, so do you acknowledge your former abuse was wrong? The father replies "no it wasn't wrong, I still hold it was appropriate behavior. I've just changes my methods of action, now I no longer feel like I want to do that".
Judge concludes the case is closed, because the father is in a new chapter and all charges of the past are dropped, but were also never wrong, but yet we will use them to compare to his goodness now as the measure to drop the charges.

This is the Christian's logic of the Bible.

I like how he cites a diploma huckster, like Dennis Prager, as some type of scholar.
