I just bought a ‘24 230i last week. Love it. My wife has a white ‘23 X3 with M Sport package. With only 3, 000 miles it’s only worth 67% of its original value.

4:14 got the same car in the same exact color. Only difference is that mine has red seats since it came from Canada (you're not gonna find the US models with red seats only inside the X4) .I got a couple other specs that won't be found on the US model ( like the "M" badges by the side vent), makes mine unique lol I live in the US btw

I bought my 2017 X3 xDrive35i (N55 powered) that stickered at $56K USD new for $27, 100 in April 2021 with 29k miles.

Got my ideal build. Mineral white metallic exterior with beautiful mocha interior, xLine, tech (HUD, 8inch center screen, and wireless Apple Carplay (2017 X3s got update for Carplay compatibility from November '16 builds onward)), cold weather package, plus everything standard for the xDrive35 (Xenon, HK sound system, panoramic sunroof)

Didn't have LED headlights or the driver assistant or parking packages. I installed specifically designed blind spot mirrors for the F25 X3 that look factory. I travelled to Knoxville, TN from South Central TX. Still feels like it was a great deal. Similar builds within 500 miles of me were $31-32K or more with more miles.

What about the S58 engine? As reliable as the B58's? I've been interested in an M2 or M3, but my experience with 2018 BMW's is they have a lot of plastic fittings that break and leak. Have the newer BMW's addressed that?

In EU BMW dont lose value that much and they are more expensive than Mercedes

Maybe I’ve been lucky with my 535i X-Drive with the M Sport appearance package purchased new in 2012. It’s now officially the oldest car I have ever owned, and outside of regular maintenance, the only problem encountered was a failed electric water pump.
My last two cars were a Mercedes E500 and C350, both good cars, but nowhere close to the low running costs of the BMW (or as much fun)

There will always be people who will buy and be happy with BMW's and I'm happy for them. If my BMW X5 colleague drives a 4Runner, he just wouldn't be the same person.
