Pretty much the same ride as my 99 Trooper. Mine's got 330K miles and is still going strong. Liked mine so much, I bought an extra one!

They're great SUV's...from what I've always heard about Mitsubishi, a big key to the longevity (aside from regular maintenance every vehicle needs over time) is getting the timing belt replaced at 100k miles. My dad has a 2003 Montero (the full size, not the Sport) that he got after trading in my Moms' 99' Eddie Bauer Ford Expedition when she passed away. He got it right at the 100k mark in 2009, has 135k-140k miles now, and only “work” done over the years has been taking it into Ralph Schomp for routine oil changes. If the Sport drives like the Limited though, the suspension drives *really* stiff

Our 2005 Galant is a reliable beast. Running perfect at 170k and had hard drivers.
