Hate the Governments, NOT the People!!

Hatred towards countries is almost always based on politics. You can't drag the people into the hatred

As an American, I actually expected US to take the top spot. For decades I've always heard how much people from other countries hate us. It's just recently, since I've started watching reaction videos from around the world, that I've come to realize that the hatred isn't quite as universal as I grew up believing.

when I was in the USN . We made port visits to various countries . I heard the phrase Ugly American many times. They collected the money we spent in the country without problem. Then mealy mouth us at the same time.

So the USA is hated for the size of their military, their wealth, their power/influence and their involvement in conflicts. The last reason is justifiable, the first three are jealousy. Although they have no problem with America's penchant for getting involved when their is a natural disaster such as a tsunami or massive starvation, post-war rebuilding, etc. America is almost always the first to respond with the largest amount of assistance and the financial burden for this aid is borne by the American people.
The fact that Germany is not on this list is ridiculous. They are responsible for two world wars that caused more death, devastation, atrocities and genocide than any other wars in the history of mankind.

I'm an American and history is my thing. I can tell you that the guy narrating this video you're watching is so wrong in general about history that it's scandalous. The U.K. was not even close to being the first nation to introduce a slavery system. Did this guy forget about Rome, Egypt, the Ottoman Empire, North African Muslim caliphates, the Arab slave trade, the Asian feudal systems with slaves peasants and eunuchs, the Incas, Aztecs, and the Myans, native Americans, the African slavers amongst the different tribes, Polynesians in the south pacific and of course the enslavement of the Slavic peoples of the Balkans, Eurasia, and Eastern Europe, hence the name slave from Slavs? These places and every civilization that ever existed before the U.K. have a history of slavery. Many having continued slavery long after the U.K. abolished it. Oh, and by the way, the English were actually the first empire to abolish slavery in 1832, they then saw to the abolishment of the practice elsewhere risking treasure, ships, and lives to patrol the African coastal seas capturing slave ships, and saving huge numbers of slaves. Maybe the content originator needs to read a history book or two instead of getting his revisionist history from Google. Sorry, this is probably a grammatical mess, but the narrator ticked me off and I blazed this up, lol.

Hate is a strange thing. I can understand when people oppose other governments or practices but I've seen people hate someone else just from being a citizen somewhere else. We can't hate ordinary citizens that we have never met and I wish people didn't but it's the world we live in sadly

I love Britain myself. As an American I see them as our brothers and sisters who have a rich history. I want to visit one day. As for America I find it odd while so many bad mouth us they are often looking for our help and for a country so hated we have one of the highest influxes of immigrants if you want to call some of them that.

Once upon a time our India was called gold bird, there was so much wealth in gold, silver and diamond that no one can even imagine, but Britain looted it and made it a poor country, but now India is growing fastest in the world.

It seems when a country has some sort of advantage or power they will be hated in some way, not always but in general terms.
