These kinds of lists are ALWAYS Southern States, regardless of warm weather. Schools and Health Care are prioritized very low in a lot of Southern States.

Did you guys see that Lawrence just announced that he secretly became an American citizen? I just saw his announcement about 5 minutes ago. It was a good video he puts things in a way that are interesting enough to not lose your attention.
Anyway, to Lawrence, welcome to Americans citizenship.

When I lived in Little Rock, they're bragging point was they weren't Pine Bluff. I laughed because the people in Pine Bluff said the same thing about Little Rock. It reminded me of the twins from the movie The Shining.

Poverty rates in rural areas are misleading. I understand someone has to be at the bottom but they use a "national average income" to determine poverty rates across the US. It's not really fair to site the same statistic when comparing places like New York City and a place like Fulton, Mississippi. $100, 000 salary in NYC probably would barely scrape you by but that would pay like 75% of a middle class home in rural Mississippi.

Up front I'm in camp Millie. With my travels, I say he's way off base on several. TX will be booming for many years to come. CA should be top 5, loosing so many people they've lost seat in the House. Although it's not a state Washington DC should be on the list, as well as NY.

Growing up in Texas and being a native Texan now for 50 years I've lived through many 'Great Migrations' of people from other states moving to Texas starting in the late 1970s and early 1980s.
At that time people were moving here mostly from the 'Rust Belt' Midwest states, New England, and California.
Wait a minute that sounds
Y'all have got to understand that Texas is a huge, vast, dynamic and varied state that can both absorb huge influxes of people and prosper.
Yes in the 80s housing prices went up in the short term but as always it balanced out.
Just as it did in the 20s, the 40s, the early 60s...
You get the idea.
Businesses prosper here because we don't tax the hell out of them and that produces lots of opportunity.

Proud New Mexican here. I love my state. Born in Arizona and my family moved here when I was 2. 54 years in New Mexico. We have problems just like everyone else in the Nation. Living here has been good to me and my family. Now my sons. I doubt we will live anywhere else!

Ah, about the temps, Alaska certainly has very cold regions, however, it’s major population centers are influenced by warm pacific breezes and currents moving south to north up the coast. So it’s often warmer in those places than in many other contiguous states.

The powergrid/infrastructure in Texas have failed every year, especially during the winter.

New Mexico is one the most interesting states culturally. Statistically certain regions of the state drag the rest down. I’ve lived in 6 different states, and NM was my favorite.

Oklahoma City has a great cancer clinic. Now banned former YouTuber Stefan Molyneux had cancer 10 years ago, he's Canadian, but he flew to OKC and paid $3800.00 to have it removed. Cheap for cancer treatment, and they're the best. They only take cash, no insurance.

On a lot of health care rankings they make having different options at different price points a huge negative.

The time to visit New Orleans is. During the Jazz Festival. Incredible music and far les drunk and rowdy people.

I moved from California to Texas about 6 years ago. Best decision we ever made. California is a crappy place to live. The people are great, my husband has an incredible job and my kids love it here. The crime rate is significantly lower than what we experienced when we lived in California. We won't ever move from here.

Michigan roads suck ass, we are the Only state that has to pay a fee per license plate of 125 dollars for a bullshit reason. Seriously. It literally cost me over a grand a year on top of all the taxes, insurance and plate fee's.

You all might want to react to some of Ben Brainard’s at the table videos. He does a great job of representing the culture of many states and he’s hilarious.

I live in New Mexico. I can tell you the fentanyl crisis hit us harder than any state within at least an 800 mile radius.

I live in Oklahoma and this guy makes it seem terrible. You don't need a high paying job to afford to live here so the prices are comparable when you take that into account. As for the health care, my family has been here most of there lives and they tend to get the treatment they need. I have some family that's either just coming out of surgery or about to go into it. My wife's grandparents are both well into their 90s and in good health. As for crime most of it is in 3 areas. Lawton, Midwest City, and Tulsa. Jobs are literally everywhere right now, so if folks ain't working it's by choice.

Hi guys . Happy 2023. Not sure if you're aware, US state New Jersey is actually named after your island of Jersey. 😁👍🏻

Alaska’s growth came about because of the building of a highway connecting the continental US to Alaska via Canada. There’s a great long movie about this on YouTube. For a long time oil and gold production were so high in Alaska that rather than pay taxes to the state residents got substantial subsidies for living there.

In analyzing their unemployment you have to be aware that some of those counted as poor are indigenous Native American Alaskans living a fairly traditional life and so needing less money to live on from just fishing and trade.

Compared to other states on this list Alaska really shouldn’t be on it. Note: I have 3 friends in Alaska who have influenced my opinion of it.
