I have a theory: What if Wooley’s death was the same thing Rebecca went through before she turned into Amanda? Think about it, Amanda seems oddly interested in dismemberment, yet deathly afraid of “the butcher”. Also, we see that in one of the short clips, it had surgical lights on the ceiling. Methinks Rebecca was killed and dismembered by a surgeon aka “the butcher” and her soul is now trapped inside of the tapes. What they did to Rebecca, Amanda did to Wooley

For the butcher, I think this guy have an entire lore

I mean we have an ending with him in the first game :
In this ending, we ARE in the Amanda's lore

So I think Amanda (who were Rebecca) have a fear/bad relationship of/with him

I guess we will find the Butcher when the full game will be released
