I was practicing calesthenics and could do around 25 but then I started bodybuilding and now I can do only around 15

Back when I was 84kg and mainly focused on calisthenics because of lockdown I could do 34 pull ups (full lockout, chin over bar) now that I’m focusing more on powerlifting and bodybuilding (weighing 90kg) I can only do around 26

Last summer I did 27. Been adding 6 pounds every week to my weight vest at a total of 42 pounds now. Max is 60 pounds. After that I’ll test myself to failure again and see what happens.

bodybuilding kills your pullup game, i once did 35 but once i got into bodybuilding it declined a little

I like to mix some calisthenics, especially weighted pullups & dips into my routine. Even while following a bodybuilding style of training.

I used to be able to push out 30 pull ups and that has significantly dropped since I started working out. I don't get it

I could only do 2-3 pull-ups now i max out on 7. Pull ups are no joke but consistency will make ya better

Before I started going to the gym I would do a fuck ton of pull ups but that’s all I did, the max I ever did was 30 in one set with proper form
