By the way, the fact that the rear window is small doesn't matter. Just press the camera button and access an even bettrr view

Not sure if the the battery spec is correct, from what I’ve heard base RWD model Y has a battery pack with 60 kwh capacity and only LR and Performance model Y has the 75kwh battery pack. Otherwise great video!

Replaced an X5 with a MY (acceleration boost ) utterly love my car.

The X5 (aside from the fab split tailgate ) was an outdated joke. Cramped and uncomfortable compared to the MY.

Very solid and informative review. Subscribed. What ev suv would you recommend overall, out of the ones you’ve driven?

Hopefully, Tesla does do a local suspension tune up for the Model Y.

The internal camera is to make sure the driver is paying attention while driving on auto pilot. If you look away it will beep at you and if you look away too often it will disable auto pilot and not let you reactivate unless you pull over and restart (I believe)

Forget the Hyandai / BMW/ VW offerings ! Without the Tesla supercharger network long journeys are angst ridden

I am keen to understand the 'real world' range of both the Standard and Performance Model Y for highway long distance driving. From what I have seen online, it would seem that the Standard's 'real world highway speed' range is around 350km max; and the the Standard's 'real world highway speed' range is probably around 350km max; and the 410km. I fully appreciate that there are many variables (wind, incline, etc), but could/would either model get from Sydney City to Canberra City easily (ie with a least 10% SOC on arrival) leaving with 100% charge?

Feb-May is very good, of you order a VW, Audi or MB you have to wait till June-Sep

I just drove the y a few days ago. I get that it's more practical than the model 3 but I enjoyed driving the model 3 much more. Not sure exactly why, both had good pick up and smoothness.

Given the 2019 summer the biohazard would be great for the next bushfire season

Great review, don't think it's actually google maps though

Tesla seriously needs to add rear cross-traffic alert for this car with its minute rear window. Cars 1/3 of its price has this safety feature.

Your battery information is well off the mark... The RWD model you tested here has a 65kwh LFP battery not a 75Kwh battery… it’s probably worth noting too that Tesla won’t even allow you to use the entire battery, so I’d say usable battery size would be closer to 62kwh.
