Thanks Andy. I'll tell you, I created a category in my saved items for knots after watching this. I hate to admit I'm such the minimalist when it comes to knots. slip knots and half hitch are what I use 80% of the time. Thanks for the share buddy. Mad Dog bites is a good label.

Good to see you out and about in the woods. Your Tension knot looks nothing like my famous relatives knot, It's named after my Grandmother, AKA Granny knot. Have a good one buddy,

I like that, it's very similar to the highwayman's hitch for tethering a horse for a quick getaway.
It also means if a horse is spooked, you can release it without the rein having to pass behind whatever you are tying to.

This is a excellent knot due to its versatility, it’s strength, ease of disassemble and retaining your cordage for future use and it’s simplicity. When in doubt never make things more complicated then you absolutely have to, it will only lead to more problems. This is a good knot if you need to repel down a small cliff or some sort of a plummet with a short distance and being that you have tied another line to the end that will be pulled to disassemble the knot. Also this knot is the start of a daisy chain knot I seriously use this almost every day
