Thanks for bringing this Joe. I’ve seen some European reviews of this car but can’t wait for you to go on throttle. One thing that this car has is the simulated gears that are supposed make you feel like it’s a gas motor and sound. I’m curious to see what your take is when you drive it. If manufacturers go in that direction, I may give it a shot. I need an EV that will make me feel something on the twisty bits and I think that’s what Hyundai is going for.

The panoramic glass roof is available as an option for the I5N in other countries like Australia, let's hope it's possible for the US as well. I did see the glass roof on one of the I5N during the unveiling debut in Korea. That said, I hope they come out with a trim level one step down that still has the cool N look and aero bits but less power (aka more range) while retaining more creature comforts from the regular Ioniq 5 like the fully reclining seats and panoramic glass roof. I would love to buy that as an "upgrade" to my aging WRX wagon.

Nice review as always. What I zonk is not having HUD. I am really surprised as my current I5 top trim has it and I expected the same in this as well. I have been driving vehicles with HUD for several years and I bought one in between without it and realized how much I missed it. I think once you are used to it is a must.
