Great video! I grew up in AV, always wanted to race BMX as a kid, but never got the chance. Back in 2015, when I was 38, I finally got the guts (and time) to do it. My first race was at Hesperia, and then later I did one race at AV. Since then I was in a bad car accident and haven’t ridden a bike in three years, but now at age 43, I’m trying to start again; I hope to get back on the track in the next few weeks.

This was so helpful! I just took my 3 year old son to his first BMX racing practice night and he fell in love with it. So I’m just getting looking into this and you made this so much easier for me to have more insight on the sport. Again he’s young so he’ll be doing a balance bike to get his feet wet! If you live in the Central Valley in Ca (round Fresno) Airtime BMX in Reedley is a great track with really great people. They do an open house day then a 6 week learning league! I am 45 and just started.

Would my 2009 Gt mach one pro qualify? Its got a cassette swap racing brakes 41 to 9 tooth gear ratio and a hb seat well ig the seat dont matter but still would it?
