the best thing to do is stay passionate in your language. just because someone says it's difficult or tough doesn't mean it is for you. learn things in sections. don't just rush everything. learn basic vocabulary like verbs or conjugations before learning anything else.

Yesss! I wanted to learn Russian over the summer (took way longer than just the summer for me) then I changed the language on my phone, turned on captions, and talked to myself out loud in Russian. I have got to say leaning a new language was probably the best thing I’ve done!

I speak 6 languages, and this is some genuinely good advice to learn languages. Ditch the language learning apps and instead get immersion into the language. Watching TV shows in your target language (with English subtitles) teaches you both vocabulary and grammar.

Tip: whenever you learn something, immediately use or say what you've just learnt, that way your brain memorises it as a casual talk, so it is more effective than just Learning in mind

ESL teacher here, also try doing what I tell my students to do: dedicate 10 minutes per subject a day. That means:
10 minutes listening to the language
10 minutes reading it
10 minutes speaking it
10 minutes writing it

Slowly but surely this will increase language proficiency. You can omit writing if you want, but I guarantee 10 minutes per subject a day will lead to becoming fluent

Sound advice, practising learning the language and then immersing yourself in it works really well since you're having to follow along and try to make sense out of things!
